My journey into photography began when I realised 20 years in a warehouse wasn't fulfilling my spirit. With a sudden change in circumstances in my career, I yearned for a change, a career that brought genuine happiness to my life. Without knowing it, I was gifted a camera and discovered I had a natural passion and talent. I would lose myself for hours at car shows, bushwalking in nature, and uncovering the emotional depth of my subjects. Walking away with a rare smile I never thought was possible, I found myself falling deeper in love with photography and it hit me emotionally like a truck! Now, I find myself framing shots everywhere I go, even without my camera. I can spend hours on photo walks through bushland or local reserves, simply capturing what personally fascinates me. Being raised as a child in the hotrod scene, my younger life revolved around custom cars, hotrods, street machines and muscle cars. all my childhood holidays were hotrod runs, meeting the same people, seeing the same cars at different places around Australia all year round. Now as an adult, I feel right at home in the car scene. When I'm at car shows or motorsport events, I often focus on the intricate details and the atmosphere of the event more than the main attractions itself– the smiles, the laughs and the deep conversations between car lovers, I want to be there to capture it all.
